What x1, x100 and x1000 rates mean in Lineage 2
What experience, adena and drop rates mean, how low rate differs from a PvP server and which rate to pick as a newcomer.
A rate is a multiplier compared to the official server. “x100” means you get a hundred times more experience per monster than on the official server. Listings usually show the experience rate, but a server has others too: adena, item drop, spoil, enchant chance.
Low rate: x1 — x10
Slow leveling, valuable items, a living economy and strong clan ties. These servers live the longest but take a lot of time. For those who want the “classic” atmosphere.
Mid rate: x15 — x100
The sweet spot: a character grows in one or two weeks, but leveling still matters. The most popular choice for evening players.
High rate and PvP: x300 — x1000 and higher
Leveling takes hours or does not exist at all — your character starts at a high level. PvP, tournaments and events are the point. Such servers often reopen, so check the trust index.
Which rate for a newcomer
If Lineage 2 is new to you, start with x10–x50: you will learn the classes and zones without getting stuck on one level for weeks. If you have played before and want to fight right away, look at x1000 PvP servers.
